Shazzy is a UK trained Counselling Psychotherapist and Credentialed Mental Health Nurse with over 30 years’ experience working with a range of clients, including children, teens, parents, and young adults. Shazzy is autistic, ADHD and PDA herself and has autistic, ADHD and PDA children and therefore understands the neurodivergent (ND) experience from both a personal and professional point of view from many angles. Shazzy works from a neurodivergent affirming perspective.
Shazzy is multi-cultural, multilingual and has qualifications in Teaching English as a Second Language. Having experienced living in many different countries herself and speaking languages that aren’t her first language Shazzy is very ptatient with those whose first language isn’t English.
Shazzy enjoys working with clients with a range of neurodiversity and mental health issues, disabilities and/ or complex family factors, as well as neurotypical individuals who prefer to see her for various reasons.

Fiona is a seasoned Mental Health Consultant with nearly two decades of diverse experience in the mental health sector. Her career spans ward-based forensic adult care, acute mental health in the community, and pivotal roles within the Primary Care Mental Health Service. Fiona's profound dedication to empowering individuals towards recovery has been the cornerstone of her practice.
Fiona's journey in mental health began with her Bachelor of Science in Mental Health Nursing, which she completed with First Class Honours at Thames Valley University. Her early career saw her gaining invaluable experience as a Health Care Assistant and Community Support Worker, roles that laid a solid foundation for her future endeavours.
Professional Experience:
Clinical Lead Specialist – MH ARRS
Fiona played a crucial role in bridging the gap between primary healthcare and specialist mental health services. She promoted an integrated, whole-system approach to public health and provided comprehensive support to General Practitioners (GPs) and their patients with complex mental health needs.
Primary Care Specialist Nurse Practitioner
Fiona worked autonomously within a network of GP surgeries, running mental health clinics, conducting comprehensive assessments, managing medications, and promoting mental health awareness.
Responsible Mental Health Practitioner/Staff Nurse
Fiona provided holistic care on a male rehabilitation forensic ward. Her responsibilities included care coordination, medication administration, and counselling clients with various mental health conditions.
Fiona has expanded her expertise through leading training programs, developing clinical handover structures, and engaging in holistic treatment approaches like WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy).
Her roles as Clinical Lead Specialist and Primary Care Specialist Nurse Practitioner in the UK have equipped her with exceptional skills in patient care, mental health advocacy, and holistic treatment approaches. In her role with the Positively Living team, she will also serve as a Psychosocial Recovery Coach and Mental Health/Neurodivergent Support Worker, providing comprehensive support to our Australian clients in their homes.
