She also offers couples counselling for neurodiverse and mixed-culture couples, creating a safe, respectful space where partners can deepen mutual understanding and strengthen their connection.

    Autism and ADHD Trauma Counselling

    Section image

    Autism, ADHD and Trauma counselling

Shazzy understands that many neurodivergent people have experienced trauma — often from misunderstanding, exclusion, or environments that weren’t built for their needs.
As a Certified Trauma-Informed Therapist, Shazzy provides compassionate, evidence-based support to help you process past experiences, rebuild safety, and navigate symptoms of trauma or PTSD in a way that honours your neurodivergent identity.
Her approach combines trauma-informed practice with a neurodiversity-affirming lens, helping you move from survival to self-understanding and growth — at your own pace, and without judgement.

    Autism and ADHD Anxiety counselling

Many autistic and ADHD individuals experience anxiety — often as a natural response to sensory overwhelm, social expectations, or environments that don’t meet their needs. These experiences can create chronic stress and make everyday life feel exhausting.

Shazzy offers gentle, neuroaffirming support to help you recognise your stress responses, understand your sensory profile, and develop practical strategies to reduce anxiety and prevent burnout.

Through a combination of trauma-informed therapy, psychoeducation, and self-regulation tools, you’ll learn to navigate overwhelm with more confidence, calm, and self-compassion.

    Autism and ADHD Depression counselling

Living as a neurodivergent person can sometimes feel lonely or exhausting, especially in environments that don’t understand or support you. Over time, this can contribute to feelings of sadness, hopelessness, or burnout.

Shazzy provides safe, compassionate, and neuroaffirming therapy to help you understand your emotional landscape, identify patterns contributing to low mood, and reconnect with meaning and motivation.

Together, you’ll explore practical tools to manage overwhelm, strengthen self-advocacy, rebuild confidence, and foster connection — at a pace that feels right for you.

Therapy and Coaching for Autism and ADHD Parents

Parenting as a neurodivergent person — or parenting a neurodivergent child, teen, or young adult — can bring unique challenges and deep rewards.

As an autistic and ADHD parent herself, Shazzy understands the emotional load, advocacy demands, and moments of uncertainty that often come with raising neurodivergent children in a world that doesn’t always understand them.

Through autism and ADHD parent counselling and coaching, Shazzy supports parents to:

    • Better understand and connect with their child’s needs and communication style
    • Manage meltdowns, shutdowns, or sensory overload with empathy and calm
    • Navigate transitions and life skills with flexibility and realistic expectations
    • Build routines and approaches that work for neurodivergent brains — not against them
    • Advocate effectively while protecting their own wellbeing
Each session combines practical tools, validation, and lived experience — helping families move from survival mode toward confidence, connection, and sustainable independence.

    Family and Couples Therapy

Neurodivergent families often face unique challenges, especially when communication differences lead to misunderstandings between neurodivergent and neurotypical family members.

In neurodiversity-affirming family and couples therapy, Shazzy helps partners and families improve understanding, strengthen empathy, and develop tools for clearer, calmer communication.

These sessions focus on reducing conflict, increasing connection, and building mutual respect, helping everyone feel heard and supported within the family system.

Whether you’re navigating relationship tension, parenting differences, or daily stressors, therapy provides a safe and structured space to explore challenges and rebuild connection.

    Autism and ADHD Co-occurances

Neurodivergent people often experience co-occurring differences such as specific learning differences, alexithymia, chronic pain, fatigue, or physical health conditions. These can add extra layers of complexity to daily life and self-care.
Shazzy takes a holistic and compassionate approach, helping you understand how these factors interact and affect your wellbeing. Together, you’ll explore strategies to support both your mental and physical health, find the right balance of professional care, and identify practical tools that work for your unique neurodivergent profile.
